I dont understand how I can lose weight if i consume 1000 calories a day. if i do light exercises like walking ten blocks a day and walking up ten flights of stairs a day, and dont do anything else (i work at a desk in an office, and dont have time to go to a gym). how many calories can i possibly burn? if this helps, i am five feet two inches and i weigh 155 pounds. i also want to know how to shrink my 36d bra size, if possible. thank you all in advance.

Your body burns about 1200 calories per day just going through its normal functions so you would add to that the EXTRA calories you burn with light exercise and Voila! by eating 1000 calories a day you have a caloric deficit of more than 200 calories. It takes a deficit of 3500 calories to lose one pound so yes,you will lose weight on 1000 calories per day. Your breasts are composed primarily of fatty tissue so as your fat cells shrink with weight loss,so will your breasts.

Are you hungry now? With only 1000 calories per day, you will always be hungry.
Consider eating smaller portions and every three to four hours per day.
Concentrate on eating fresh vegetables and fruits, you feel fuller but you will actually be eating less.
No sugar, sodas, flour, fried foods.
If you begin eating the right types of foods you will not have to count calories.
Continue walking/stairs and you will see a difference and you will automatically increase your walking/stairs.

As a physician, I hear all the time that "I only eat 1000 calories per day". If that were true, you would probably lose weight.

I have to say that I doubt that you truly only eat that little.

Keep a food and exercise diary. Be honest and calculate your deficit daily.

if only excuses burned as many calories as actual exercise, the US would be thinner than ethiopia.
