(Can I assume you mean "massage" therapy?.....)

When I studied massage therapy in the 1980s, I was told that each of the United States has its own requirements with regard to how many hours of study you will need to become a state licensed massage therapist (Some states may require close to 1000 hours). At that time, California, for example, required only 100 hours (80 hours of actual massage, 15 hours of biology, and 5 hours of business & ethics). I studied privately at the McKinnon Institute in Oakland, California.

I would say that much more physiology would be helpful to you than I was required to take; also, there are so many types of therapeutic massage to learn about! These are the two main areas I would focus on. Since you are still in high school, I would encourage you to check out private courses in your area (try looking in your yellow pages under "massage instruction"); this could be a great way to find out if a longer commitment makes sense for you, post graduation.

Good luck in your adventures!

i'm a image format student, yet I took teen's literature as an english elective. the instructor replaced into passionate, and the concern remember replaced into eye-catching--it relatively makes me journey as though i'm going to make clever judgements for analyzing textile if I actually have a infant indoors the destiny. It replaced into now no longer the variety of type the situation we sat around analyzing books for babies, yet relatively we recognized at analyzing textile from very youthful a on an identical time as as much as babies and how it pertains to their progression (why some books are sturdy, and how it ties into what a bobbing up reader desires)--!

Assuming you meant massage, biology and anatomy are very important.
