Constant pulsating alarm indicates that combustion particles have been detected!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

What does that mean?? Sometimes, out of nowhere my alarm just beeps and there's no smoke or anything!!! is it just defected? I had to remove it and take the battery out...thats how loud it is!

that's what the battery does when you need a new one......
it just want's you to know....

kerilynn got it right. usually a low battery will cause interruptions and make it go off. if a new battery doesnt solve the problem it may be the detector itself. also certain frequencies transmitted nearby may be a problem for the alarm going off.
