Okay- I sit on both sides of the kitchen table.
Both of you are right. If you are sexual active and her mother knows then she is worried that her daughters future is at stake.
{ i realize this sounds really old fashioned-yet it is reality}
Every year thousands in your state will have unwanted or abort mistakes that are children, like humans for a cat with kittens.
Having children is hard on your life, unless you are ready to make all the choices that come with that situation. Her MOM knows that, it comes with being a parent. You honestly can't grasp that intense emotion until you are one yourself.
"Real or not real" you are a threat to a lifetime commitment a mother has to a child. At fifteen, I was sexually active and was very careful (did not want kids at all till 30).- birth control and condoms with one boyfriend for two years and guess what?
I got pregnant. I had a horrible miscarriage that has lasted a lifetime of regret. Both relieved and sad when it happened and it destroyed my relationship with my boyfriend and it remained a "secret and lie" for twenty years with my parents.
That one thing changed my thoughts on sex forever. My body is mine to control and my responsiblity to empower others to take more care to the serious physical/emotional maturity needed to have a healthy sexual relationship.. She is too young for sex and not knowing your age- I assume you are not ready to take care of a child or take responsibity to give up college, a new car or any plans to travel europe for some sex. This is not a lecture- honestly its the reality of the choices you are making at any age. By LAW you will be bound to that choice for a childs lifetime.
Wrangle that snake at home and have a wonderful time enjoying each other and exploring your bodies. There is many other ways to enjoy sex with out the job being finished on the inside or around. Be creative and "watch Something about Mary" the dating tips are funny in that movie, yet they are ironically very real.
If her mother asks... its the daughters job to approach it. You are an outsider~ even when married for twenty years.
I sat on the sofa with my Boyfriend next to me, holding hands and told my mom about the choice of having sex and what precautions we are taking and why we want to have this relationship. She was not happy and I informed her that its safer at home than in a car right? So- We got a hour after school, and my Mom just came home later....a sign of respect on her part and maturity/privacy on mine. It was never mentioned again.
Yet when I broke up with my boyfriend, she was very upset and worried about me more so than any other "dating" relationship. IT was worth the "bravery to approach her woman to woman" and leave the "MOM" outside of it. She was scared (she told me later) and understood that if I was brave enough to tell her the facts then I most likely was responsible enough to handle it. That empowerment made me a better woman and mother myself.

The best you can do is convince her that you are very protective and loyal to her daughter. No one is going to believe that a 15 year old boy doesn't have hankie-pankey on his mind when he is alone with a hottie.
