'Tu es belle' means 'you are pretty/beautiful'
'mon chou' is a pet name, like 'my dear'. Literally translated, it means 'my cabbage' but no one ever means it like that.

It means, colloquially, "You're beautiful, honey".
It is said that the French, for reasons best known to themselves, use "chou" ("cabbage") as a term of endearment. However, some French speakers that I know say that the "chou" here wasn't originally the word for cabbage; there was a popular type of small, sticky cake, sweet, with cream in it and caramel on top. This was also called "un chou", and was the origin of the term - which would make it much more in line with "honey", "sweetie-pie" etc.
However, the French have adopted the alternative meaning of "cabbage", originally out of irony, and this seems to be what they mean when they use the word today.
Other odd French terms of endearment include, "ma puce" ("my little flea"), and "ma petite cochonne" ("my little piggie"). C'est bizarre, n'est pas?

The direct translation is " you are beautiful my cabbage".....usually the phrase is more like ..... j'adore mon petite choeux (not sure if the spelling)....but it is romantic in peresian french to call someone a cabbage....it is like a pet name or term of endearment.....kinda like saying " i love you my hunny bunny"
