If Christians only follow dogma because it is written by God, how does that not make them slaves? A slave does whatever he's told. Does it really make a difference that he chose to be a slave? My parents gave me life – I live for them, but not according to their will.

A slave has to do what they are told. Christians just chose to do what's beneficial for them, i.e. not making God mad.

Angels are slaves.

I am agnostic, but I have to agree with the Christians that answered this one. They choose to worship God. Now there are many that were raised to worship God and told that if they did not then they were wrong. I don't know if this could be considered being a slave, but I do see it as unfair to manipulate a child into what you believe to be real. They do not see it as manipulation because they really believe it is right, but that doesn't make it right or fair. I personally do not see them as slaves, but I see your point, a slave has to do what they are told because if they don't they will be punished i.e. Christians believe if they do not do as their religious doctrine tells them then they will go to hell. I'm not sure if a lot of them actually believe this or not. A lot of Christians choose what to follow in the bible, I'm pretty sure the Christians of today don't go around killing people for working on a Sunday, and if they can choose what to follow in the bible then they can not truly be called slaves.

U have it all wrong. First of all, christians dont follow God because it is written, we follow a King whom weve felt n seen through our spiritual eyes. We dont follow God cuz we have to like a slave, we do it cuz we want to. I personally know both christian n none christian life n I choose Him n to follow Him rather than what the world will have me follow (vain things).
Second, the word worshipper, can only be use to people that r true christians, that Love God more than anything else, n have come to realiza that He is not just a God, but your Father, best friend, n everything u need in this freaky crazy world. So u choose to praise Him n love Him = Worship Him.

Christians do the will of God if they listen to Him and the only way is to live a Christian life and get in the word and pray everyday and faith really does play an important role but i'm not the one to tell you all this why not going to church and asking a preacher?

we are not slaves, we are children of God. we have free will. we can choose not to listen to God, then we have to pay the price for it. God is just like any other parent, he says "you do this, or this will be the consequence" just like any parent says "if you dont do as youre told you will get punished." on the flipside, any parent says "you did as you were told, here is your reward" Gods rewards are everlasting life in the kingdom of heaven" search around all you can, you wont find a better parent than that! i do my best to give my God, my Father a reason to be proud of his child.

I do what I do by choice. I do not follow dogma. I follow the
Word of God. I choose to be obedient. Everyone follows and worships something. I am fortunate that I know what it is.

I am a Christian and I am free. Free from slavery, free from death. We, as Christians decide on our own to follow God and Jesus Christ, we are in no way forced to live according to His will.I want to live according to His will because I know that His plan for my life is much better than my own. Don't worry about us crazy Christians...we're getting along just fine...no pressure.

Christians are not slaves, because they have the choice whether they will or will not do as they are told. Slaves do not have that choice. As a Christian, I live how God wants me to live, not because I HAVE to, because I can choose not to, but because my love Jesus compels me.

Muslims consider that they ARE slaves of god. That's what Islam means. However, I am like Iblis -- I don't bow down.
