Why do most Americans have a tendency to believe their loved ones who weren't born again go to Heaven.?

The bible says we shouldn't judge wether this person goes to heaven or not when he/she dies, because we might be wrong. But, why even when they know the person wasn't born again, they always wish to meet him/her in heaven, why not "HELL"? Why if "Heaven" is the place that everyone wishes to go, and they don't want to do what it takes to get there. When we say "rest in peace", and the person's already in HELL. People hate to hear this word "HELL", but if you believe there's heaven you need to believe there's HELL, and it's for human beings, not for animals. I hope you change the way you think.
Choose Heaven, because when you die, your family will wish to see u in Heaven.
Thank you!

I agree with what you are saying,Peter.Even those who don't believe in Heaven or Hell wish to think that their loved ones will go to a better place after they pass on.But there are only 2 destinations for the souls:Heaven or Hell. It is the person's choice while on this Earth where they will spend eternity. And the only way to get to Heaven is to be born again.Noone can judge where a person's soul goes after death, because only God knows that person's heart and where he/she stood in regards to their faith.
As for Heaven not being for animals,I agree with that also. Animals do not have souls, but I really wish there were an animal heaven. I have a dog named Mitze that I love dearly, and it hurts to know that once she's gone, she's gone for good and I never will see her again. But that is just the way it is,just as I know, without judging, that there will probably be some people I am very close to that will not make it,and I'll never see again.I'm not judging them.I'm just being realistic.

Do I sense a touch of insanity in your remarks? Just because there may be a Heaven, does not in any way mean there must be a Hell, not does anything in the Bible clearly depict what Heaven if it exists would be like. The concept of Heaven that we are taught as children is based on fanciful dreams; if there is a place called Heaven, and if humans go there, then all humans go there. I see no reason to assume that other living animals do not also go there, provided there is such a place. You are being vain to think it is only for humans that meet your definition of what is good.

Thank you. I was raised in a Catholic family and attended Catholic schools, and I was never told what determines whether or not you go to Heaven. I was told I had to be a "good person", and if I was good enough I would get into Heaven. I always wondered, what makes a person good enough? Of course the answer is you can never be good enough. You must accept God's gift of grace personally, or you will never see Heaven. Unfortunately, some denominations believe being a good person will get you into Heaven, and others believe they can pray a person into Heaven. Neither of these concepts is biblical.

This was asked before check it out.
No one knows that he will go to heaven or so called hell fire.
First there is no such thing as hell fire.
The word hell means mankind's common grave...Hades in the Greek language Sheol in the Hebrew language.
Second no one knows when he dies he will go to heaven...that is up to God.
The rest will be resurrected during the thousand yr reign of Christ very soon.
People who say those words you mention here are ignorant about what the Bible says,
Please check it out. in a good concordance, Strong's is an example that will explain it.
Just one last thought If we all go to heaven or your so called hell what will happen to our Earth God gave to us.
He created it for a purpose...do you want to know that purpose?

Hell is where everybody goes when they die because it is just the common grave of mankind, the only exception is the 144,000 anointed of God who go to heaven in the twinkling of an eye because at death they are instantly transformed into a spirit person so they can be with Jehovah and his son Jesus. The 144,000 are the only ones going to heaven, the rest of mankind who accept Jesus as their savior and do the will of God will live on a restored paradise earth for all eternity.

what a mixed up belief system you have. i'm not sure if this was a question or what. i'm baptist and i believe that if you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus, when you die you will go to hell. if you do have a personal relationship with him than you will go to heaven. hell is a place of eternal suffering. why would anyone what to go there?

The answer to this question is: Because not everyone shares the same beliefs.

To think that one's religion is "right" and all others are "wrong" is very presumptuous if not downright arrogant.

Think about it, the view of the "Big Picture" of the Universe from our tiny little planet is very limited. No one can truthfully say they have the answers.

I don't. I have a very realistic understanding of what scripture says about this. I have had to accept the truth about people I know who have passed, and I accept it because it is the choice they made. I cannot live in an emotional delusion because I want things to be different.

They're grieving man, have some sympathy for crying out loud! If thinking their loved ones are in heaven soothes them, let them think it!
