It says : i get bad grades because i study too much.
But i believe they mean to say: saco malas notas porque no estudio mucho which means i get bad grades because i dont study (too) much.

It doesn't make sense, it says, I have bad grades because I study a lot, which obviously can't be true unless the person is studying the wrong thing.

Spanish for- I get bad grades because I study a lot. Did my son or one of his friends say that? One of my students maybe?

I get/earn bad grades because I study a lot. (mucho = a lot)

i am not spanish but i will try.the meaning is close to-bad notes because of too much study.maybe she is singing but not practicing wellecause of school studies.
