I am really over weight, and I dont' want to take any pills! anyone have any advice for me!

I have a problem thou with walking and running my leg damaged to the point where I can't even move my toes, and the muscle's are dead in it from the knee down! so what else can I do! meaning with excerise!!! that won't hurt my leg anymore than what it is?

Drink lots of water and ironically dont skip meals. IF you skip meals then you will end up being hungrier than normal at your next meal and you will most likely overeat. Add more fruits and veggies to your diet and cut down on sugars and fats. Also a good exercise regimen never hurt anybody.

p.s. In response to your leg pain and atrophied muscles; My Mom has the same problem. You have to see a Physical Therapist to get some exercies that will be helpful to you. Contact your doctor and see if they can set some of this up for you. Tell them your intentions and what you need to overcome your obstacles.

Check out the Dr. Atkins diet stuff - it is interesting - it shows you how to eat more food and lose weight - and it works - it just may be expensive to buy the different types of food all the time.

Also, I have found that the Beach Body series and related things from the WowWow network also really work good on the exercise end. They may cost some money to get, but they have realistic charts on current weight, calories, what you need to eat to stay the same weight, what you need to eat to lose weight and what amount is too little to eat while dieting that will cause a rebound weight gain instead of a weight loss.

One thing that I have found that helps is to also fast for one or two days a week. Just dont eat anything solid, but drink water and milk all day long. Then eat normally the following days - dont overeat. You can lose about 5 to 7 lbs a week just doing the fasting bit - but after you lose a good amount of weight, you also need to reduce how much you are eating because you dont need to eat as much to maintain the same weight anymore.

there are actually a lot of ways that you can lose weight and not spend a lot of money. when i got out of high school i was about 50 lbs over weight. i really started to watch what i ate. never eat fried foods...never eat anything white (noodles, bread, starches) things like that. they make the same kinds of food in wheat. they are lower in bad sugars and you will feel fuller longer. take fiber pills (they are good for you and cheap) they will trick your body into to thinking its full on little food. EAT A SALAD ONCE A DAY make sure that you don't use a dressing that has a mayo base..too much fat. use Italian or vin n oil (extra virgin) . keep your calorie intake less then 1500 and any exercise is an added bonus. hope this helps it worked for me.

Eat small snack-like meals throughout the day, instead of the "three square meals" we were taught about. Don't eat anything larger than your fist at a time. Eat as much fresh fruits and vegetables as possible. And most importantly, drink water! Not soda, or alcohol! Juice is okay but most of what you drink should be water. Start first thing in the morning before you get out of bed, drink a glass of water (I fill a bottle and place it next to my bed the night before). This gets your stomach activated and your metabolism started.

yeah! drink water and sorry but this costs but is very effective- go swimming, (an hour a day every day you can manage should reduce ur weight. If not a good bicyle ride) Diets can slow down the bodys metabolic rate yet exercise will speed it up! (therefore u can eat more without getting fat! )u understand!

2 years ago I was 305 lbs. I chose to do nothing white" sugar, bread , anything white" 30 days latter i was 260. I don't recomend this for more than thirty days , but it does work you just have to stick to it even when it gets tough. wein them back slowly after thirty days cutting portions in half.

excersice might help i hope! it should running is always good or just jog around the block where you live. also eat good food. you know like, veggies, and all that try to avoid red meat you can eat it occasionally of course b/c it's GREAT!! you might also want to check out the web:

You need to limit portion size thats key then encorporate exersise into your lifestyle walk your dog a little further everyday then upgrade to jogging.

eat every 3 hours on the hour.

this keeps your stomach smaller, and will reduce your apetite.. do not gourge yourself when you eat this way, just eat until full.... you will slowly start eating less, and less.

"Books a million" has the book by the person that started this diet... it is supposed to work, but I do not know.

see if you have a needle and thread laying around, and then use it to sew your lips shut, that way you can only take liquids through a straw, then once you've lost the weight you can cut them back open.
