Are you old enough? If yes, then check with the Department of Immigration and Naturalization. They have a web site(see below); in some states they let you make an appointment over the Internet; ask your questions directly to them. For the most part they will give you the information you ask, although they may make things harder than necessary.

If I were you, I'd drive that new car across the borden into Mexico, marry the girl and bring her back to the US. That way, she is legal and has nothing to worry about. She probably could get back into Mexico at the Brownsville, Texas border without any questions.

JOP or Pastor, either way works, if you want to start paperwork first then get a fiancee visa, for sure call INS to see what the options are.
