That also depends on:
(1) Are you male or female?
(2) What type of build are you
(3) How muscular are you
(4) What type of shape do you WANT to be in

If you want to be the next best bodybuilder in the heavyweight class, you need to gain some weight.

Then again, if you want to be the lightest and most nimble acrobat in the world, well you need to lose about 2/3 of your weight.

Weight is relational to many things... Although they print a chart of "ideal" weights, nobody on earth has the "ideal" body that goes with that cart.

It would be ideal to be 130 lbs.
You can do this, too. I lost lots of weight that I'd carried for 20 years. Walk an hour a day. Don't eat carbohydrates, if at all possible. If you're hungry, choose a protein or a green vegetable.
The biggest motivator is to photograph yourself. How do you look? You can look better, if you want to.

Your BMI is 36 which indicates that you are obese. Try to lose about 80lbs. That is definitely not easy and won't happen overnight. I lost over 50lbs on the South Beach Diet.
