Not very. I work for an insurance company, and we have "shopped" there and determined that they do not have the right information. I am not sure how often they update their database, but it would stand to reason the way insurance is, that rates would vary some and not be dead-on if not coming from that company itself. They could be close, but not exact with just about any.

If you are asking about their own rates, your answer is that as long as EVERYTHING you enter in the quote is accurate, the quote is exact. As for comparisons, the information, as indicated, is based on publicly filed information with your state's DOI but will not include specific discounts, etc.

i bought insurance for my new truck on-line at progressive. I did check several other web sites before buying and progressive was the cheapest in my area.
