It's only on the tip of my right pointer finger. I put lotion and vaseline (petroleum jelly) on before going to bed. it's been like this since about March. I accidently put my finger on a hot plate. (that's how it happened). I guess it's still in the healing process.

If it is just dry skin, keep them moisturized. If you find that is not helping, you may have hand eczema and need a cream for it. As soon as you wash your hands put lotion on them. There is also something called cutemol that you can get from a Derm Doc, but it may be over the counter. Also try liquid gloves, it is supposed to be a skin protectant for people that wash their hands a lot. Hope this helps, I used to work in a Derm office.

How in the world did you get this condition? I can't understand why your skin should be peeling on your fingers. Seems to me you should see a doctor, wear gloves when working with what ever it is that is causing this condition. But anyway I hope someone out there can help you.
