My son was 21 years old when he unexpectedly died four years ago.
I am wondering how other people have delt with the loss. I am a person of faith and even with that the loss is so huge that I don't think I will ever be the same person. I believe in eternal life, but now that I have lost my youngest son I am overwhelmed with the mysteries of the universe. In a way I have more faith and in another way I am stunned with all that seemed so simple before the loss.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. This is a really tough question to answer. I lost my brother 2 years ago and I don't think you can ever really deal with it. What has helped me is just thinking that everything happens for a reason and we always don't know what that reason is. I think for my family it has brought us closer together because we realized just how quickly you can lose someone you love. Just try to stay strong, love the ones around you even more and tell them all the time. Talk to people about it, I find that that helps too. Even if its people you don't know, just let it out. Its okay to cry, no one is going to judge you.

I'm very sorry to hear about your lose. My sister died suddenly at the age of 25. It has been 10 years this October and I can say that you will never get over it. You just learn to deal with it. My own mother still grieves for her and I believe she always will. The best you can do is honor his memory and sorround yourself with friends and family who love you and will listen to how you feel. If you ever just want to vent, cry or just talk you are more then welcome to email me at babybear2981@yahoo.com.
