I would have the border filled with landmines instead of customs agents for at least a mile back of the border on all fronts, I would then fine any and everyone that did make it here illegally $10,000 and I would fine the ones making a living off of this importing of illegal $25,000 an illegal plus 5years in jail for each one they have when caught, I would take a business license from any business that employs illegals, I would make it so you had to have three forms of ID before you were granted any government services, but the simple solution is one that I would already be very familiar with since Iraq I would simply invade their country and make Mexico the 51st state.

Build a Fence: Enforce the Immigration laws we currently have. Heavily Fine ANY and ALL Businesses that are found to employ Illegals. Increase the number of people in ICE so as to check into the businesses Hiring Illegals. Deport All those captured. I would even consider going so far as to revoke business licenses of companies hiring illegals.
