In christianity:
God is a man
his Son is a man (and you gotta believe in him to get to heaven)
Every pope ever is man.
Every Cardinal, bishop and Priest is a man,
These men make rules about sex and marriage without ever having been in a relationship.
These men want rape victims to give birth to their attackers babies rather than abort them.
These men oppose all birth control -( all women will have the babies but not all men will stick around)
Why do women believe in such an oppresive religion?

haha. ya. im not into religion at all!!!!! it so ridicolous!!!!!! one of my friends is mormon and lives lik a slave to "god". she has to wear turtel necks and her pants to her nipples!!LOL

Hey, fundy mormon polygamists isn't an accurate term. Mormon is a nickname for the Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints which hasn't sanctioned polygamy for 100 years.

because none of the new testament would have even happened if it wasn't for one Woman - Mary. women don't need to be the center of everything because they are - they are God's chosen creators. God gave women a far better gift - motherhood. You seem to be pinpointing the Rcc, however other denominations have women in the higher roles - Episcopalian for one.
men are to treat women better than themselves -- you have to understand the full scope of the bible before you can pick and choose.

Your question implies that people should believe what appeals to them, whether it is true or not. Why do people believe in disease, when disease only makes us sick? Why do people believe in death when most of us don't want to die?
We don't pick our religion on the basis of what is popular, what allows us to do what we want to do, and what we wish were true. We follow the teachings of religion because we believe that they are true, like it or not. And when women come to understand the truth they realize it is not about male control anyway.

your question shows you follow man and not God. As you have pointed out man will fail you; God will always lead you correctly. There are many examples of women who were leaders of God's people ie Deborah Judges chapter 4 and 5.
