We just got our line hooked up in the house on Thursday. I seem to remember that it rang more than once for the last few days. All of a sudden now it's only ringing once. I don't have the manual for it and I cannot find it online anywhere. the model number is 25840ge3-a. The only thing that I can think of that would have done this is that our directv had to be hooked up to the phone line, so it's now on a splitter, that's the only thing that's changed in the past few days.

When the DTV was hooked up, did you put a filter on your phone line? The DTV kit should have come with some as you need one on every phone in the system.The other problem is the ringer on the phone may have been turned down. If has an answer machine mode, there is a way to set the number of rings before it will kick in.

If you have telephone DSL, you need a FILTER on any extra phones. Only the computer gets a direct connection.!

yes, that is very normal....it doesn't get enough juice...have only one phone ringer turned on...no extension...if that doesn't work you gotta install a ringer box...its an accessory..
