For years I have tryed to live enviromently friendly and everyone thought i was a joke. Then al gore comes to australia and they all think the mans a genius. Do I have the right to feel a bit grrrrr about these people or what.

It is human nature to feel bad about being called a joke. However, I don't think you should feel upset with these people I think you should be happy that they are finally catching up with you. Just wait... people will remember the things you have said and done in the past and now that they are aware of the issues they will see you in a new light and soon they will be showing up at your door to ask for advice (because it isn't easy to ask the "lead" environmentalists like Al Gore).

I see the same thing all the time... people who live evironmentally friendly lives are treated like some sort of pariah... then along comes some person in a suit and tie saying the same things and suddenly ..... it ike WOW what wonderful new ideas...
