if u E-1 try to advacne to E-2 by those DEP PT program those help u pt as well, or try recruite people in so u can advacne to E-3, This shall be first priority why if u E-3 u in must better shoe once u finish bootcamp, and then take u exam average 6 to 1 years faster than most people out of boomcap then study make rank = more $, less shi.t to put out.

PT whise here is my suggestion, do u got some swim skill? if u don't better take some lesson cause ain't fun if u failed in bootcamp, running is alot more important than push up and sit up because u can't cheated at all, if u run alest 1 1/2 miles twice a week and could pass the time u shall be fine, for push up and sits up u just need to keep doing everyting lots of sets. don't overdo u self, last thiing u want is injure u self.

Depending on your age group is what really matters, complete a mile and a half run in 14 minutes 45 seconds, 60 sit ups and 30 pushups.... thats for a 18-20 year old female going through bootcamp. Extra time on the run and less sit ups and pushups if you are older.

Just got out of bootcamp 2 years ago, good luck and have fun, remember don't let the RDC's get to your head, its just a game.

Why hasn't your recruiter given you these answers? That is his or her job--so if they have not told you then that individual needs to get on the ball. I have been out for 8 years, so I am sure the standards have changed from my time in.
I can tell you that I really had a great time in the Navy and I really learned a lot about life. Also, I have traveled and spent time in 17 different countries, so I hope you have as wonderful of an experience as I did.
Also, take advantage of the free college courses while you are in and the GI Bill for when you get out. (It is great to get paid to go to school). Most ships bring professors aboard while on cruise, as well as the oppurtunity to do online courses.
Good luck!

Hi there, I went to Navy boot camp and I just got out of the Navy last year; I probably don't have the updated versions, and for sure they will get you in shape there, but it will help to be as in shape as you can beforehand; the standard test is: run a mile and a half, do as many situps as you can in 1 minute and as many pushups as you can in one minute, be able to touch your toes. I'd guess that you need to be able to run a mile and a half in at least 10 minutes, do at least 24 pushups and at least 90 situps. Again, I don't know the current standards. Also I'd be happy to answer any other Navy questions that you have. Good luck!

All militia boot camp is god rattling confusing. they're taking you out of the norm of civilian life and pushing you mentally and bodily on your limits... and once you attain your decrease... you're compelled to pass even more beneficial. In bootcamp you'll understand soreness you under no circumstances theory your body ought to live on, yet it really is what the academic is for, to practice your body for each thing. Your body will very last lengthy, it is your recommendations you should prepare to maintain going no remember how a lot soreness you're in.

JD is right as far as I know. I was in back around the middle eighties & it was very similar, so I can't see it changing that much now. Do your best to get in your all around best physical condition & you'll be ready for most anything. Strength, stamina, and ability to push your personal limits but not nearly as far as if you specialize after & go for extended training. Not *that* will push you farther than you ever thought you could go, but it's worth it too.

i'm not sure about it now but when i was in it was 3 sets of 20 sit up--- 3 set of 20 push-ups--- i could run abt 6mi b/4 i went in so i'm not sure how far we had to run because it did not matter to me---- we had to swim----jump off high board------ learn how to use our trousers as a floating device as well as our white hat------- but i was a farm boy from Tenn and this was the best i'd had ever had it in my life, plenty of food , clothes , medical care, i thought i had found heaven , honestly my biggest problem was laughing while in formation at the city slickers who screwed up big time------ they were soooo igorant and would cry and moan and groan i began to feel sorry for them------ i thought they may be mentally sick------ i spent 4 yrs in the Navy and dont regret a minute and kinda wish they had an old timers boot camp for ole farts like me--- i think it would be fun

Don't worry. Do your best now, and every day. Give yourself one day of rest after three days hard training, then train hard for two days, then another day of rest. Repeat that cycle.

Check with your Navy recruiter. She or he should be able to tell you the standard for your age.

Your recruiter should know and help you get ready if needed. You should be able to go with your recuiter to the gym on the base.
