The purpose of life is to leave the world a little better than how you find it, and have a little fun along the way.

Why are you against evolution? Has it harmed you? I am an atheist because I am unable to believe in a god. I didn't make a choice to be an atheist, I just am, which is proof enough that god could not exist. I don't really think life has a point, or at least I don't believe humans could ever know what it was. If I may ask, what was the point of life before Christianity?

That science and religion agree. Why would God give us a brain if he did not want us to use it. As per your creationism belief.
Consider that mans soul was always human and like the human embryo in the womb of his/her mother changes physically until it attains the form of an infant. Mans body evolves but his/her soul is always human. Noone has the right to try and change your beliefs it is only for you to decide. Its good that you are secure enough to try and understand others.

The purpose of life is to know and love God and to serve Him in this world by serving others to prepare ourselves for the next world which will be our permanent home. This world is preparation for the next.

Well... what evolution are you against? Micro or macro? the two are very different. Micro happens on a small scale, macro on a large scale. Microevolution: the monarch butterfly. was at one time predominantly pure white, a few black ones (which are easily picked off the white tree by birds) landed on white birch trees... industrial age happens, birch gets very sooty and becomes a greyish brown... over time, the color scheme switches and the butterflies are predominately grey and black, with a few white ones... YOu can't deny this part of evolution. It is observable fact. What you mean to be against is MACRO-evolution, which is the evolution that occurs over centuries, millenia, etc etc. But, why are you against it? Has it hurt you or anyone? Not accepting it, not believing in it, thats one thing (I personally do, but to each their own) but what causes you to be against it? As to the purpose of life...

This is a shocker... there is no purpose. We as a race feel the need to prescribe a purpose to life, to create a reason for our own existence. It is not enough for us to simply live like every other organism. No other organism alive feels the need to justify their actions and their existence. They don't question it. Our need to prescribe a purpose to life leads to the anthropomorphic and anthropocentric views of society... we believe we are superior to other life, we feel we must care for the earth and its creatures because we're better, or we feel we are entitled to use the earth and its creatures because we're better. We see the human as a soul trapped in a material prison of nature (the body.) Because of this, we have no sense of time. We see time with a begining and an end... this leads to the destruction of our environments for in our minds we equate nature with our body, and according to many religions (christianity is no exception, but by no means is it the only one) the body is a thing to be scorned and shed, hence we intrinsically scorn nature...

We are not special. We are no more important than any other species on earth, and we are no less important. There is no separation of body and soul. They are inseperable, so inseparable in fact that they are one. We prescribe two names of varying importance to the SAME THING... okay, so I think I lost everyone... moral of the story: life has no higher meaning, no greater purpose. These things are a product of our over-developed minds that no longer need to dwell on survival and, consequently, have created this drive to prescribe a deeper meaning to life so we can feel superior to that which surrounds us

I feel the purpose of life is to leave the world in better condition that it was before one's birth.

Evolution, along with other types of science, do not contradict with my own religious beliefs. My religion is strong enough to see truth in the earth and universe.

I believe the purpose of life is to serve one another by any means possible. We all have gifts that are useful to others. Our mission is to realize and utilize those gifts for the good of others. Jesus was and is king, but more importantly, He was and is a servant to us all.

That a god created the universe and we evolved from that. When you die no matter how your life was you go to the same afterlife that every one goes to. What that is no one knows. No one died on any cross for my sins because sins are something religion came up with and so they don't exist. And yes thoughs of you who are wondering in my beliefs hitler and Jesus went to the same place when they died.

I believe my purpose is God's purpose. He created me. He designed me for a purpose. I believe it is to help others and to share the Word of the Lord. I believe He wants me to show love and compassion to others. I believe He wants me to save souls.

To come to earth to gain a body
To gain experiences that will help us learn and grow in the eternities
To prepare to meet God and become more like him
To experience JOY!
To prove ourselves to our Heavenly Father that we can obey his commandments

That's not all, but some of the big ones
