in the beginning, i loved him a lot, but a s time went by, my feelingd just started to change about him. i dont know if its because i tried to find someone different when i was single and thats y i picked him cause i was trying different. i am not attracted to him physically, its his personality is wat got me. but i think i need more than personality. i need looks and personality. i wanna be able to look at him and say "dang look at my fine boyfriend." i want to break up cause i cant go on feeling like this about him. if i let it go on for some more time i think i will hurt him even more and he'll hate me. i just wanna break up in time so that everything will be good between us. i dont want to b a bad memory in his mind. i dont want to make him sick at the stomach when he thinks about me. i wanna do this rite now because he's really hooked and attached to me.

Tell him just what you told us...that your feelings have changed and you need to let him go (leave out the lack of physical attraction part). Just be honest.
It's gonna hurt him, but at least you will both be able to eventually move on and find true love. I give you credit for recognizing these feelings now. But you need to be honest with him sooner than later. Good luck sweetie!

If you're are certain that you no longer want to be in a relationship with him then you will just have to tell him that. You don't necessarily have to tell him the WHOLE truth about why you want to break up. I think it would be pointless and cruel to tell him that you're just not physically attracted to him. I would just say that you are not ready for a serious relationship at the moment... or you could tell him that you still want to date other people and be single for a while.
Just remember that the initial feelings of lust or passion that you feel for someone while in a relationship (sometimes for as long as 2 years or so) usually fade into a more mellow and content type of love. You shouldn't expect to have that feeling throughout your entire relationship... our brains are not wired to maintain that chemical high for longer than that. And remember.... external beauty eventually always fades.

i was reading your story and had to make sure i didnt issue that question while in my sleep, because i am in the same situation, instead my guy is attractive at first site and his personality is what brought me to appreciate him, but after getting to know him more, i discovered there are things i can not live the rest of my life with. im answering your question and i need an answer myself, because im still with him but he does have an idea i need my space, but i wish i would have told him earlier because now im angry with myself for letting it go on so long i have a problem with expressing my feelings and now im just plain mean to him and i feel so bad because if i wasnt such a coward and went with my first instincts we would not be going thru this craziness today. No offense, but it sounds to me like you've got a great guy. It's you that needs help. A person's looks shouldn't come before personality. You were doing fine in the beginning, what changed?
But to answer your question, I think you should just be honest with him and tell him how you feel. It'll be hard to do, but in the longrun, it's better than letting this relationship go on any longer than it should. Hope this helps...

Too late. There is no way to break up with him without hurting him. Just try to make it as gentle as possible. And don't get into things like looks. Just tell him that it isn't working for you. Tell him he is a wonderful person, and that you are the problem, not him.
