The egg answers are good, you can also try vinegar.

After shampooing your hair, rinse with vinegar and leave in for as long as possible - the whole day if you can (best not too make any public appearances as the smell is quite strong!!). Rinse out and your hair will be sleek, soft and shiny

Take flaxseed oil. It takes a few weeks till you start noticing it, but it makes your hair shiny and healthy and it is very good for your skin too. Not to mention all the other benefits it has. You can buy a bottle of flaxseed oil at Walmart or health store. Sorry if this isn't a food item, but I guess it sorta is.

There is an instant breakfast cereal that you can use. Don't put in the milk or whatever it is, just use the dry cereal, put in some conditioner, put a bag on your hair and let it set for about 20 minutes, it works best if you use a dryer on it for the 20 minutes, then rinse, don't shampoo.

there are so many things you can do...

here are a couple products that help..

-mayonnaise (FRESH, unopened thing on it)
-eggs
-coconut milk
-coconut oil
-avocados
-aloe

there are just a few things..just rub them into your hair and let sit for about an hour atleast and rinse or wash out depending on what the product it. for example, if you put mayo or eggs in your hair, make sure to wash out with shampoo, but if you do the aloe, just rinse REALLY well.

good luck sweetie!

Oatmeal with honey and bananas. That usually washes out well and without much effort. Eggs work too, but they take a while to wash out.

I've used honey and it worked really well for me, but if you have blonde hair, you'll want to use lemon with it. Here's a cool site that will tell you exactly how to do it:

avacado makes a great hair mask. just mash it up and apply to damp hair. olive oil is good for repairing damnge. work in to DRY hair and wrap in saran wrap for at least 30min. but overnight if you can stand it. to wash it out put at alot of shampoo in ur hair before you get it wet and work it in then rinse. you might havw to wash 2 more times to get it all out.

I haven't tried it, but someone told me eggs work great for that. Someone else told me that lemons add shine, too.
