Ive been bodybuilding seriously for about 3 years. My problem is, I'll be at work or having a night out and my arms and chest just aren't that big. But during my workouts and shortly after, Im huge! Like double in size. I know that you get bigger after you workout, but how can I make my arms look that way longer?? Any suggestions? I work out 5 times a week.

Thank you!

It is very important to use diversity in your training yet stay within the 5-20 rep range focusing on compound movements. Since you have been training for 3 years you may need to change your reps every week and or the type of movements for each body-part, for example Squats one week then Leg Press the next week then Lunges the following week. I highly recommend reviewing this web site : http://www.hypertrophy-specific.com/hst_index.html. This is not the ONLY way to train as they profess, but it will give you a great foundation on varied rep training. I would encourage you to switch lifting styles often such as Heavy Duty training after doing the above system for about 12 weeks, then trying something different. I have actuallyy gained by doing a Navy SEAL program because my body was not accustomed to such training. It is about variety and learning what works for your body. Furthermore; one of the most successful professional bodybuilders (LEE HANEY) said " eating should be your full-time job", and Dorian Yates , one of the biggest Mr. Olympias ever actuall kept a record for years of everything he put into his mouth so that he know precisely how each food selection and change in nutrition affected his body. Training alone will not get you into the best shape.Lastly you should also research clinically pr oven muscle building supplements listed on consumerlabs.com. Without testing you are at the mercy of marketing gimmicks and fads.

This is the after workout "pump" that people talk about. Your muscles are filled with blood and your musles are tight and cramped from your workout so they appear bigger.
