Let him chomp on anything with charcoal or chlorophyll.

Do NOT give him Greenies. They have been known to cause intestinal distress and even death.

You need to start your dog on a dental care routine if it's not already on one. Have the vet check the dog's teeth to see if he's developing gingivitis. Gingivitis leads to other health problems in dogs. He may need his teeth cleaned. As far as dental care, brushing daily is the best choice. 2nd best would be a daily dental rinse, and 3rd best would be daily dental chews. Check with your vet...most have dental care products that are safe and effective. Most products for this in the store are unsafe or ineffective. If you're going to do any of these, use products designed for dogs...never human products! Dog toothpaste doesn't have to be rinsed off and rinses are able to be swallowed. This webpage tells how to start a brushing routine

Avoid Greenies, Nylabones, Etc...these have been known to have pieces break off and cause dogs to choke. If you decide to do dental chews...get rawhide based ones that are coated with anti-bacterial agents. They are safer, but you will still want to observe your dog when he first starts chewing them to make sure he's not breaking off chunks.

If the breath is that bad you may need to take your dog in for a teeth cleaning. The smell may be from infection in the gums. Bad teeth can affect the liver and kidneys so I wouldn't let it go on for too long

Parsley is good for the breath.
Mix it in his food, and try brushing his teeth and tounge on a regular basis.

To hide smell, give your dog those peanut butter bones.
Also if possible, but just a few mint leaves in his water.... make it like a doggie mouth wash.

i saw this first hand, change the food to nutro's lamb and rice. great for the hair and skin too. the bad breath is from the tummy. and the kibble is also better for the teeth. also as in people, they need acidophilus for the colon to keep it clean. or "pro-biotics"

check your dog's teeth, or take him to the vet and have them checked... also you should brush his teeth and feed him crunchy snacks that will help clean them... also make sure your dog always has plenty of fresh water to drink

Buy "Greenies" at your pet supply store. You will see a big difference in his breath and the dogs love them. They make them for cats too.

You should also buy a pet toothbrush and toothpaste and use them regularly.

Hope I helped.
