Are you talking about a brain injury after a car wreck? It depends some people are fine and other people have real problems especially if they injured their brain during a car wreck.

How bad was the injury? were there others involved? did you hurt another person? was there blood? Do you still see the scene when you get behind the wheel? Are you afraid to drive now? were you hospitalized and if so for how long? Did the injury create a lasting scar? Do you have pain? Were opiates used to help with pain? What medications are you on? How is your life different than before the accident? Do you blame yourself? Are you angry?Do you experience depression? Do you believe in a higher power, did you before the accident? Since you are taking a class in psychology these are a few of the variables you would want to look at when asking this question, every one of these possibilities has a chemical response depending on how severe the response will give you an idea of the chemical exchange that took place at the time of the accident, if there is a lasting affect that would also change the interpretation of the changes that occurred during and after the accident. I hope you find this helpful

If you do not suffer brain damage you may develop a permant fear of cars. Any slight noise may cause you to panic. If you are in a car you will always feel usafe sometimes you may even have night mares where you see youself causing accidents. You may have to see a pyscologist. Depending on how the accident happened you may never want to drive again. This can also affect the people you leave with as they will have to accomodate you it may even cause a lot of strain between you and others. You social life will change as most things will be done for you by others your sisters may have to drive your children to school therefore stressing them as will and the stress will come back to you you may be a very miserable person who feels that he / she does not belong anywhere.

Well! I was coming out of Los Angeles and a guy in a pick up crashed into me, in order avoid hitting the car in front of him. The crash made my door open and Flew out and bumped my head on the top of the door jam. I caught the steering wheel on the way out and landed on by butt ox on the bottom of the open door, I came up cranking the wheel to the right, because he literally knock my panel truck out from under me.

I had an Xray to my head, but nothing was wrong. I had no Psychological effects what so ever.

It was a little bit of a sinking feeling when that panel delivery started to pull out from under me, but that was over in a second or two..

Guess that doesn't help much huh. There were no seat belts in those days.

For me, after my 90-mph head-on crash, I did not have any physical brain damage. I was Just Pissed! Especially when the accident was not my fault and then the other driver had no insurance!
