This is usually a very easy task that needs to be undertaken carefully. In the first place the memory can be ruined by static electricity...so if you are in the least bit worried about this--then call Best buy and have a geek squad guy come do it.
If you feel self inclined, it is easy. First, contact your computer manufacturer and talk to them about the upgrade. Then go to a computer store and purchase the type of memory the computer mfgr suggests.
Next--get a neighbor kid who likes to do this stuff to change the memory (easy to do).
Wala--fixed and the computer will automatically recogize the new memory if it is a) good, and b) installed correctly.

Dont worry--call your mfgr...they have this call all the time.

OR...Geek squad

O.O, that must be a big motherboard. You can only fit about 3 or 4 memory card in.
I don't mean to patronize but if you cant install a desktop then why are you trying to fiddle in the CPU (the box on the floor with the hard drive and CD player). IF you reeeally want more memory put in I sugest you go to a trusted PC store to have it done.

No, you can't. 1 motherboard only have 2~4 slots for the memory ram. So instead of buying 10 of 512mb ram why not trying 2GB one?? Besides, there's no necessity for you to increase your memory ram that much!! This is just like you need to pay $1 for an apple but you pay $5.

I don't think u can install 10 pcs of RAM into the MB.

A MB usually have 2 - 4 RAM slots ...

If yours have 2 slots, u can buy 2 x 1GB RAM instead of 2 x 512MB RAM.

10? is this some kind of server? Normally four is the average you can install on a desktop. However, you should be able to buy memory that is 1GB (or maybe larger) and that may get close to what you want.

Make sure it is the right type of memory for your computer.

Once you have them, open up the computer and just pop them in.
