so there was this guy in my algebra class (a total hottie.) and he sits in the front, while i'm in the back. honestly, i'm an attractive girl. he turns his head around a lot and whenever we made eye contact he would smile at me and turn back around. i found his myspace and added him, sending him a message introducing myself. he replied back nicely, telling me to say hi to him next time i see him. so i walked into class and saw him, and he turned around and mouthed the word "hey!" waved, and smiled really big. so i did it back.
is he flirting?
being friendly?
..how can i get him to be my date for homecoming?
oh and
one of my good friends likes him too. but she just told me today. and i'm so afraid she'll ask him out. i really really like him.

Well, I would just ask him to the dance first, but don't forget it could also ruin a friendship if your friend told you she liked him, and then you asked him out. Have you told your friend you have a crush on him too? It might help, or it could cause some competition. Just think about your friendship first, then decide if the guy is worth it, or what might happen if you ask him first.

You need to talk to him outside of class and if necessary YOU ask him to homecoming. You better move on this fast before someone else does. Ask him if he has a date for homecoming. Your friend may be mad but tell her you have liked him longer than her. Also, don't tell your friend your intentions or she may try to sabotage your chance with him. Also, you could send him a myspace message today asking him if he has a date for homecoming. If not then tell him you would like to go with him. You better be bold in order to stand out amongst all the other girls this guy probably talks with. It is very clear that he likes you by the way he acts.

omg girl i just ask almost the same question, one ya he is flirting,and being friendly. Now when it comes to having him come with you to homecoming try to bring it up when your around him and ask him so who are you bring to homecoming and if he says no be like me too maby we should go together but make a joke out of it so if he says no you wont fell stupid.oh and your friend likes him too well if yall aint that close then let the best girl win but if yall are theirs no need to fight over a guy, and like you said your a pretty girl so you shouldnt have a hard time finding a another guy

there is only one thing you can do and that is just come out and ask him to be your date to homecoming. There can only be two answers yes or no and you will never know unless you ask. And if you do not ask your friend might beat you to asking him .so you should be asking him instead of asking us
sounds like he is flirting but he also could just being nice just ask him.. The worse thing that could happen is he will say know but there is a chance he will say yes either way looks like you have a potential friend

He could be flirting or being friendly. It's best to assume he's flirting, and if it turns out he's not, then no harm done.
As for the friend, if you let her ask him out first and he likes you more, he may conclude that you're not interested in him and it will make you sad. He may tell her yes even if he doesn't really want her. That would be bad for everyone involved.
My best suggestion is to beat her to the punch.

You should take the first step and ask him out. Just do something casually and spend time talking to each other. That is the best way to find out if you are attracted to each other. Once you get this far you can talk about the homecoming dance.

Definitely sounds like he's into you! Ask him out first, but be sure to tell your friend that while you respect your friendship with her, you've been planning on asking him out for a while now. Just be honest with her. If she's a good friend she'll be happy for you! Good luck with your new man!

i had that prob with a guy in my youth group at my church. yes flirted with only cause he is a flirt. But he liked my frnd who told me she liked him. So i just let her have him even though she insits she won't date him and he respects that. Mabey if he doesn't like her she might do the same. at least u can hope. Becaome frnds fist though cause he might only be after sex and not a real relationship. So be frnds first to try to figure out if he is who u think he is so u won't get burnt.
