I have Mac Messenger beta 3.x.x which works great but I when someone trys to invite me to a webcam session all I hear is the invite alert, no way to access the invite. Is there a way to fix this or is it a future upgrade issue?

Try deleting the .plist preference files (com.yahoo.messenger3...)
useing the find feature in the Finder or Spotlight. Start up the Messenger again, and it will recreate these (and you will have to redo your username/password and personal settings).

Also check your proxy connection settings (firewall/none) within your messenger preferences.

Hi Kevin...some of the beta versions are not stable and buggy at times which will not perform the invite access with Mac version MSN Messenger.

Consider also posting your question in the free Apple Discussion forum: http://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa There are many advanced Mac users who can answer your question there that may have a workaround solution for you.

i imagine it truly is both msn or your webcam. I typically have this concern, the position I deliver an invitation, besides the undeniable fact that the guy who I despatched it to does no longer get carry of it or vice versa. each so often it also tells me that the guy cancelled the invite even as like you've experienced, they in no way even were given the invite to start with. typically even as this concern takes position, both me and the contact close msn down, re-load and signal back in, and it typically fixes it. If this does no longer artwork, try a reboot of your laptop, it truly is going to finally artwork. If no longer you may want to continuously try re-setting up msn and your webcam. also, it would not be counted if the different contact has a webcam or no longer. she will be in a position to nevertheless view yours.
