sounds like you have an eating or mental disorder...honestly, be sensible. Stop being a newb and actually listen to what people are telling you.

The way you're trying to lose weight, you could end up in the hospital and dead.

You'll probably lose wayy more than 8 pounds. Eat WAYY more than 1000 calories a day if you're gonna be doing DDR for that long. Just by existing, you burn around 700 calories a day, and if you do DDR for 4 hours [you might wanna lower that to around 2 hours a day at least], you're gonna need HEALTHY food so that you don't pass out and have to go to the doctor or anything. If you stick to two hours of DDR for maybe 6 days in a week with eating foods that are good for you, you'll definitely lose 8 pounds. Throw in some push ups, curl ups and lunges, and you'll be awesome! LoL.

Hi Kina,

You'll certainly lose weight - unfortunately it won't all be from fat. In fact it will mostly be water and muscle and that's not a good idea. When you start eating properly again you will gain on a lot more fat than you have now, simply because you have less calories consuming tissue (muscle).

As a personal trainer its a mistake I see quite often - people like you with excellent motivation and real dedication, but without an expert knowledge of nutrition and physiology.

At the calorie intake you propose you will actually encourage your body to store and horde fat! This is a natural process often referred to as the starvation response - and its to keep your body from starving because of perceived famine or food shortage.

You can lose the eight pounds sensibly and far more comfortably by October at about 2lbs a week. I explain most of this in my article on “Weight Loss - How Fast is Fast enough?” which you can read here - http://www.isometric-training.com/quick-weight-loss.html

I wish you the best of luck, please drop me a line in October when you are down the 8 lbs, it’s always great to hear about people triumphs. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Yours,

Paul

It is Ok to try, but if you eat 1000 calories a day you will burn that weight by just sleeping. Other factors come in to play like what do you eat and/or what do want to eat.. If you need to lose it fast eat cabagge, it takes more calories for the body diegest it alone than those calories you are thinking of losing. Let me give bad advice, starve yourself, that will work too. I do not know you why you want to bring down yourself, perfection is a good thing where I come from

you would lose more than 8 pounds. Eat at least 1200 calories and don't exercise more than 2 hours.

Please don't try. It could be really unhealthy and you may end up putting the weight back on, plus more. And if you play DDR, it builds muscle, which weighs more that fat, so the weight you lose may be gained close to back in muscle.

eat 850 calories starting depending on your weight and heaight. gradually you'll start eating less. make sure that you do exercise, cardiovascular preferably. A diet supplement from GNC (general nutrition center) could greatly help speed up results.
