Have sex with him. This will end the tension and you will both be too embarrassed to take it any further.

People like to say that men and women can not be just friends. I was JUST friends with a man for several years, completely platonic, and very best friend.
After years of a close friendship it transformed into romance...we have now been married for over a decade...you fill in the blanks.
Can you keep it from happening? SURE you can. We could have too! But we decided to take the risk. It ended well for us, but there are no guarantees in any relationship. Consider if your friendship is worth the risks of a future break-up or if the relationship would be better than a friendship in the long run.
Then, stop guessing! Ask if he feels the same thing you do.

No that's not a healthy situation to be in long-term and you need to purge it one way or another.
Best way would be to actually have sex with him - that way you will either end up with him as boyfriend (if it transpires this was the correct thing to do) or (if it transpires it wasn't) you should still be able to keep him as a friend as long as (in both cases) you are honest with each other every step of the way.

You can't prevent sexual tension from happening, f you are near, and looking, and fantasizing. it's natural, and it Can build to the point of hurting.
BUT, it'll go away! Believe me, I know. I had a six year 'dry spell" between 1st marriage and second. There was a lot of tension, but I lived!

Play it cool for a while and avoid looking at him. Let HIM come around first. If he likes you well enough, he will. If he doesn't, he probably isn't interested as much as you thought.

Why are women so worried about how they "look" to others?
Bottom line; if you want to sleep with him, just do it, and who gives a flying f*ck what anyone else thinks.
