If there was another planet to emigrate to then i would be on the next spaceship there.. since reading the views and opinions of people on this site regarding their various religions, i am absolutely astounded of the sheer mental conditioning that they all have...
i know its not just me, because 4 BILLION dont believe in some myth called jesus christ .. not a prophet - a myth, most of the 4 billion have never even heard of the name!! and therefore dont know what xtains are going on about (btw in todays world, claiming 'prophersy' will land you with a prompt stay at the local mental hospital - fact)
Anyway i would be intrigued to see the history books from 2200, where they describe 'religion' as a global plague, exactly the same as AIDS is today..
I welcome you to prove me wrong, but no quotes from religious books.. or god/allah loves you/wants you to blow sh*t up

"Debra M" what's their 'faith'costs me?
The fact that you and me, your family, my family ... has cost us, rather unsafe world to live in when all these GOSH D*AMM *children* (you and all other religious people) keep bikering (wars) as to who's fake/imaginary "god" is better that the others ... thats is why. There IS no heaven, so without religion this world really could be heaven. Religion *is* true evil. See you in "hell" according to your bedtime book ! laters honey :-)
BTW: If there is a definatition of heaven, then it is eternal death, without any religious posion, and no muslims or christians messing it up for everyone else. :-) Oh heaven... oh yeah !

Christians just don't see the big picture. They think humans are in no way related to animals even though the only thing that makes us different is our brain. If an alien zoologist came to Earth in a space ship and saw a naked human and a chimp, he would say they were closely related without doubt. If a guy goes for a few months without shaving or getting a hair cut and doesn't wear any clothes, he looks very much like a primate. This is because he IS one. Someone answered that Christians don't think of themselves as the center of the world. That is so incorrect. By saying that God made humans in his image you're making humans the most important thing in the universe. I hope we do find intelligent life on other planets on day, simply because the Christians would yet again have to change their beliefs. For god's sake, the church would have killed Galileo if he hadn't recinded his belief that the Sun revolved around the Earth. Christianity is wrong, but Christians won't admit it. They just revise their beliefs every time a new scientific discovery is made and find some way to attribute it to God. No matter WHAT science finds, they're always going to stubbornly stick to their fairy tales. It makes me sad to be of the same species as these people.

quit hinding behind religious when you mean christian. stand up for what you believe and stop pulling that crap. and secondly if 4 billion dont believe then 2 billion do. and the myth of what he was a real guy read pontius pilots letters and josephus the historian. both say that a man named jesus was "kingof the jews". beyond that whats so wrong with it. have you killed osmeone do you steal so you do what your parents told you. well thats 3 out of ten commandments already so maybe thats not such a bad thing.
i bet that you had a real bad experience with church. i am sorry if you did. i just wish that you didnt have so much hate in your tone when you write these questions. i mean if i said how can you be dumb enough to not believe in a god man how cn you be so retarded as to not see that clearly you are worth more than a cosmic accident. but no proof nothing if you want a sign your not going to get it so believe or not i still want you to not have so much hate in you its not good for you man.

Oi, just because 4 billion people believe in a religion (of which some 2 billion believe in Jesus perhaps) you shouldn't want to get off this planet. Just emigrate to a godless country and help it to become an international player to be reckoned with. You'll have to make stand, but christian drones are useless once you incarcerate the masters on the strings.
Actually, I don't think it'd be too bad an idea to have one country in this world where religion is not permitted at all. Though I am an openminded and tolerant individual normally, I am also getting quite dejected at the number of countries where godlessness is outlawed.

I would answer this question, but I'm afraid it would be a waste of time. Let me instead ask you one.
Why are non-religious people so delusional about the universe around them?
I would bet you're one of those numbskulls that believes we all just happened. You can't explain that view any better than can those 'religious people', but they can do a better job of debunking your belief than you can at casting doubt on theirs. Why? Because you absolutely refuse to consider anything that isn't perfectly 'natural,' while they can and do hear and think about your points of view.
If you refuse to think about something, how are you ever going to effectively refute it? The answer to that is, you don't. You just keep jeering about how ignorant and superstitious 'religious folk' are, when the adherents of Darwinism are even more blindered, and still refusing to consider anything but a THEORY that even its originator recanted. Not because he 'got religion,' but because he came to see that it was wrong. At least he had an open mind.
My advice, rant a little less, think a little more.

Religion a disease? Religion is almost as old as the human race, it isn't going to go away anytime soon. Just because certain people give religion a bad name doesn't mean that all of us are crazy. By posting something like this you're acting just as ignorant as the people your criticize.
Jesus was a real person, he existed. You might see him as a crazy leader of a Jewish Cult, but to deny that he existed would be like saying Abraham Lincoln never existed. He was a real human being who was executed by the Roman Empire sometime around the transition between BC and CE. That is a fact, as you're fairly big on those you should apreciate that.

People use religion to answer the questions about things not answered, like "where does the universe end?" or, "how was it all created?", and of course, "why are we here?". Religion gives people security, removes them from feeling helpless, and that they will be "taken care of", much like a loving fater takes care of his little baby. What I find 'amazing' is the number of really educated people with very sharp minds who buy into the delusions, as you call them, without regard for lack of facts or any objectivity.

“The 66 books of the Bible were written on three continents. In three languages. By about 40 different people (kings, shepherds, fishermen, priests, and a physician). Over a period of about 1500 years. On the most controversial subjects. By people who in most cases had never met. By authors whose education and background varied greatly. Yet all 66 books maintain harmony with each other…as if written by one great mind. And indeed it was.” 2 Peter 1 verse 21 “Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy spirit” Critics of the Bible have tried to say that certain “historical statements” in the Bible are not accurate but archaeologists have uncovered many discoveries that have proven the history of the Bible as accurate. The principles and the prophecies of the old testament as well as its history holds for us today as much relevance as it did for the Israelites in Jesus day and it blends perfectly with the new testament.
One day you will see you are wrong. Sorry.

I'm really sorry that you are so self sufficient that you do not feel the need to look outside your own existence, or others who are equally fallibly human, to find the answers to any questions or concerns you encounter in your life.
Whenever I'm in need of help, I know I can always go to the source of all things, one who is omnipotent, and find my answer there.
No Bible quotes. No God bless you. No I'm praying for you. Just, I feel sorry for you.

Don't you know already? In 2200, the history books will tell our descendants how our country became a theocracy and when democracy slipped through the cracks of the unaware population.
