How long is healthy to do a water fast?

Question

Consume nothing but water.

How long is healthy to do this.

It is not for weight loss purposes. Also i have to go to school. Would it be ok for me to go or should i do it when i have a week off of school and don't have to move much?

I don't think you should ever do a water fast. You are not getting the nutrition or electrolytes you need for energy. Why don't you do a juice fast instead so you get some nutrition.

Strict water fasting is serious stuff. You probably should not try it for more than a couple days at a time without guidance from someone who is trained to supervise this kind of activity. You definitely should not attempt anything strenuous while doing it. Done improperly it can hurt some people.
Digestive Wellness by Eliazbeth Lipski and Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine by Murray both have excellent sections on detox and fasting with lots of good advice, directions, and the necessary cautions.

That depends upon the temperature and the rate of dehydration. Going without food for two weeks and you will die. That is all there is to it. You can go without water for one week only.

its not healthy at all !!!!!!!!!!

you need to eat for energy for daily activities at least !!!

why would you want it !!!!! if its not fordite purposes and you are ready to skip school for it it has to be something really interesting :) would be nice to have a feed back about it

lots of people do it, so it won't kill you i guess. i'd say 3 days at most, but you'll probably get a jillion different opinions on that.
