They are highly trainable however have high energy!!!!! This means that if all you do is watch TV.... not the breed for you. They require lots of exercise and will play tennis ball for hours.
They are loving and sweet dogs. They do require bathing and grooming regularly as their manes, tails and feathering will mat without brushing.
I love Goldens and they are awesome dogs but only if you have the time and energy for them.

golden retievers are know as the best family dog to get the only problem is they like to shed a lot but besides that I would pick the golden retrievers

Pretty much. You must brush regularly or their hair will knot.
They are pretty active so you have to be able and willing to give him playing , walking or running time. They are a great breed.
I have had mine for 8 years and would not change him for anything in the world ...including $. He has a great sense of humor and is a beautiful soul.

They are just like any other kind of big breed dog... they need a lot of room to play and run around.. a ton of attention.. time to be loved and played with! They will become very close to you and your best friend... if you have a ton of time you can train them to do just about anything!!

Ours is friendly, protective, sweet, and loving. She needs her fur brushed often, and it sheds every summer and winter.
As a breed, they usually do well around children.

Yes, they make very nice friendly friends & pets..
They need lots of company and social interaction or they
get lonely & unhappy..
Don't just chain them up or abandon them in the back yard all day.

Sure...IF you like BIG,gallumpy,*GOOFS* that shed TONS of coat & beat you to death w/that HUGE hairy TAIL!!!
