Closer to 4000 years. I lived over there for nearly 2 years and warfare...national, nation state, tribal, between families....it didn't seem to matter....was the way daily life seemed to operate.

Liberals here in the US think our gun laws are out of control; they would go ballistic in the middle east. Unless you are in a major city it seems everyone is carrying an AK-47 or an RPG.

I guess it cuts down on the late night 7-11 and Circle K robberies.

I would like to believe that there is hope for change in all the war torn areas of the world. If we start looking at the reality that economic factors and not religion are ultimately controlling things maybe an honest, peaceful outcome can be reached.

yes, I definetely think so too, the thing to figure out now is how to do we as Americans get out of it and quarantine it.

You know is funny 'cause I've spoken to various people from the area, living in the US and Europe and they are so much in denial, they really think that the people had nothing to do w/ the ills they suffer, they think islam is perfection and that the whole system is intachable, what I kept asking was

"THEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING LIVING HERE IN THE "EVIL" WEST?

got no concrete answers to that, of course.
