Lately Ive been thinking about my ex. We where together for a long time and broke up a few years ago, because of something that he did. Since I had been thinking about him I looked him up and got his phone number. Now I just dont know if I should call and what I should say. Any suggestions?

I forgot to mention that he did contact me a while ago. The main thing that I miss is the fact that we were best friends before things happened and since a lot of stuff has been happening in my life I feel I need someone to talk to

You could call him and give it a try if you feel it's right. However, be prepared for the fact that he could still be the same kind of jerk that he was before, he could be married or "with" someone, or it could be that he just isn't interested. Don't feel too disappointed if any of these turn out to be true.
You never know, maybe it will be a good conversation.

Calling him would be a good idea, in case you've still got unresolved issues.
You should think carefully before you call him. What do you want? Do you want him back or just resolve issues or ... stay friends.
In case you want a relationship, be prepared. For all you know he could be taken ...

Are you in another relationship if so no but if he really wanted to talk to you he will call you but if you think or feel you should go for it just hope he don't have someone else

I say call him. He would be so surprised to hear from you in years. Become is friend and maybe met him somewhere to see how he's been in the past years. But, yes call!

girl if he likes you he will come back now if you want to talk to him as a friend then yeah just call him and tell him if you can be just friends but stand tall and dont give in on his eyes

Unfortunately, if he's hurt you before, and hasn't tried to make amends, I wouldn't give the guy the time of day. You can do better.

Since you don't know if he's married, it wouldn't hurt to call. Tell him you have been thinking about him, and wondered how he's doing. If he doesn't want to talk, he will tell you.

i wouldn't, he obviously hurt you in the past that's why you guys broke up. be careful hun. follow your heart over what people tell you. always.
