There is no help for this in my user manual. And philips website does not help either.

read your instruction manual on this or check the philips website where you can download manuals.

Sounds like the DTR is not receiving a strong enough TV signal. Most Philips Digital tvs or freeview boxes will flash until they have downloaded the updates and channels properly. Verify your coaxial is carrying a strong enough signal for DTV and check connections.

unplug it for 10 minutes.. turn it on holding the power button.. if not.. check all connections... (email philips customer care/technical dept.. they will help you..) g'luck
