Couldn't have said it better myself. I've been in Iraq for 18 months and it is hell, you never know what's going to happen and whether the people you think are the good guys will blast an RPG the moment you turn your back. I worked as a surgeon/medical officer during my deployment and its true about innocent people die. There'd be children as young as a few months old being brought in because of injuries caused by the war. Innocent people die a lot in war, and you never really know when you leave that morning whether the people you work with will be coming back that night.

Everyone agrees that "war is a hell," a quote by general Tecumseh Sherman.
I am sure that he/she meant that we must face the realities and prospects of war. And, yes, innocent civilians (and soldiers) die in wars. Was this individual answering a question in regard to the difficulties and tradgedies in war?
The terrorist perspective is a bit different. Raven was commenting a sad fact. The terrorist bask in this joy and aim to kill innocent people when creating war.
my thoughts? yes, its a terrible fact but tog we can unite and combat terrorist and terrorism, so that there is no war.

Well, the terrorists weren't waging war, they were attacking the US (I'm assuming your referring to 9/11). War is like it's own type of Hell, and sadly, innocent people die more than "sometimes". Take for example the war in the Iraq, we're supposedly fighting for Iraq's freedom--but at the cost of thousands of innocent Iraqis lives. War doesn't really make sense to me, because I personally believe in diplomatic solutions. But that's just the way I see it.

Uh.....
War is hell, and innocent people will die sometimes.
Its a fact of life, not so much as it is a statement. War is no walk in the park, I'm sure there is at least one or two vets living near you who can tell you.
Think about it, WAR. People die in WAR, People get killed in WAR, WAR is not about being nice to anyone, its about killing, destroying and eliminating. Its just a simple fact is all.

It's a true statement. It's also true that life is also hell and innocent people die sometimes. It may sound cold, but it is a factual statement based on reality.

America will do its best to avoid civilian casualties, but you are completely naive if you think you can fight and win a war without some innocent people dieing.

War is hell, however the US routinely goes out of it's way to avoid ANY collateral damage. I know this for a fact. Terrorist go out of their way to maximize collateral damage. I guess we're all the same!
NOT!

Over 100,000 innocent Iraqis have died so far. I'm amazed that people don't understand the concept of how much bloodshed is happening for absoutely no reason.

properly they get a particular position in Heaven at God's proper hand for our God is the right one and their God is the incorrect one.....yet i imagine the different adult men get virgins and rivers of milk and honey - So i wager of their eyes they get the candies and our adult men bypass to Hell cos they're infidels. it truly is all sooooo confusing!! the ingredient that bothers me isn't a lot what takes position to the warriors who die as i trust they're previous discomfort and suffering - it truly is the friends and kin left behind who truly wade through. it truly is also why i trust our illustrious leaders want to honestly imagine and PLAN precise before they deliver out adult men off to get killed contained in the first position.

No one wins a war. War only amounts to death, debt, and property damage.
