Consequences for actions is something that if not learned young then WILL be learned later. You don't even have to be religious. Look at the government and laws. You commit a crime, you pay. Its as simple as that. Look at it this way, if your daughter learns that she needs to respect your wishes as her parent and do what is right, then you will have potentially saved her from future disappointments. Punishment "fair"? I think that it is not only fair but definitely necessary!

Then it is "fair" to punish her by sending her to one, especially if you dont have any.

Sure. A corner is just a form of time-out. I still use the time-out chair on my 11 year old.

Yes! Yes man! It's very fair, she probably deserves to live in the corner man! She is probably very naughty! If she continues in this way, perhaps consider buying her a corner of her own so you don't have to use one of yours.

I think that corpreal punishment is an acceptable and normal way to rear a child. They need to learn from their mistakes.
