You hear more about these things today: road rage, people running people over in the parking lot, people making nasty comments for no reason.

Could it possibly be that people don't know how to control their anger, take it elsewhere and harm innocent people or family?

with all these wonderful tools of progress, we have less and less time for whats truly important.. our families.. our friends.. ourselves.
We're short circuiting ourselves..
Learn to take walks, read books, have tea parties with your little girls, play catch with your little boys.. hug your wife and kiss the back of her neck while she's doing dishes (by hand).. learn to pray to God and attend your church.. go to ice cream socials.. etc.
Learn to be a people again, know your neighbor.. etc.
I wish it were that easy, and yes, I know the struggle it takes to get back what we all lost, everywhere..
I wonder what would happen if we went back to the family values of the 50's.. and maybe even long before that. In fact, I wish we went back..

For some reason some people are just overly frustrated. I know it usually occurs in highly populated areas, so I believe it's due to overcrowding and people think others are getting into their space. The area were I live was a relatively small town. BOOM, overgrowth and lots of people from the big city moving here for jobs. Attitudes have changed dramatically, especially driving habits, with speeding, tailgating and rage. Shame, too. Sems as though I am always getting the finger, while driving. Well, no more. Tomorrow I get even ! LOL

Anger is a completely normal, usually healthy, human emotion. But when it gets out of control and turns destructive, it can lead to problems—problems at work, in your personal relationships, and in the overall quality of your life. And it can make you feel as though you're at the mercy of an unpredictable and powerful emotion.
You are right, most people do not know how to control anger. When anger is used to "suppress opposition" though emotional bullying or violence, the bully often fail to realize that the root of all anger is fear. The more angry an individual appears, the more fear is experiencing. Typical anger management "techniques" are the use of deep breathing and meditation as a mean to relaxation.

Too many people. We live in a rushed society as well. Manners went out the door a long time ago.

it's called transference. IE: we get p. o. at the boss, can't really do anything, so we go home and kick the dog. we are transferring our rage/ anger/ frustration to something or someone we perceive as weaker

Our society is a lot more accepting of showing our emotions these days- And sometimes those are bad. I think we used to pride ourselves on being polite- now we pride ourselves on speaking our mind.
