I worked with this girl about a year ago and she had a daughter at the time. Then she told me and the manager she had to go take a week off because she was getting an abortion. Then a month or two later she's pregnant. She quit the job and I would see her from time to time, she would come in with her daughter and her son. I quit that job and got a new one a few months ago, soon after I got hired I see her there. We make small talk and I see her from time to time working. Then she wasn't there for a few weeks and she comes back and was all "Well I wasn't here cause I was pregnant and didn't want to be so I had it taken care of" I was a little shocked. I mean she barely knows me. I'm very on the fence about abortion I just can't really figure out how this girl can choose when to have a baby and when to have an abortion...it kind of bothers me a little... The way she described it was like going to the dentist and having a tooth pulled...am I being naive? Or can it be that simple?

I think that the only way I would have an abortion is if I were raped. I am a mother of two and even if my children were to have sex, I would say "If you are mature enough to have sex, then you are mature enough to handle the consequences should they arise." The girl you talked about needs something called BIRTH CONTROL. Abortion is not that. She will probably suffer physically in the future if she is using abortion as birth control. It can damage your body.

This is the only part about abortion that I don't agree with (other than really late abortions). I am having an unplanned baby in november and it was an extremely difficult choice between getting an abortion and having the baby, that I made with the baby's father. We are both thrilled and excited about the baby, and I can't wait until she gets here. However, I too know people who have had four or five abortions and children. I can't imagine choosing to have my daughter now and then choosing to end the life of my next baby. While I do not believe abortion should be illegal, I do think we need to inform people about it better. It is not a method of birth control, like so many women seem to believe. Perhaps if we had better sexual education programs in schools that told girls about all of their options for birth control, then we would not have so many people that are clueless about sex. How many questions do you see on here asking "can i get pregnant from or i might be pregnant what do i do" Some of these people don't even know how they got pregnant in the first place, how can we expect them to make an informed decision about abortion. No, abortion should not be as easy as getting a tooth pulled, it should be a last resort not an easy way out.

You arent niave at all.......having an abortion isnt that easy at all. Many women have had them and many suffer from guilt and emotional issues because of this.....they can also have physical side effects as well from abortions.
What you need to remember is....there are people who make what they do seem right because they dont want to face the facts that what they did was very wrong....they know they are wrong but to scared to admit it and live up to it so, they play it like its no big deal.
Having an abortion to me is plain and simple murder........you are taking an innocent life and making it pay for the mistakes you chose in having sex in the first place. No, one has the right to play God and take a life....especially one that cant defend or speak up for his or herself..
So, no its not as simple as going to the dentist and getting a tooth pulled, because while you can forget the pain associated with the tooth pulling.... I believe when you abort a baby you live mental and emotional pain for a very long time....dont let anyone tell you its that simple ok.......ill put a link on here about abortion and the trama it can cause mentally, emotionally and physically.

To be honest with you, I have NO CLUE how a woman can just get pregnant and say that she isn't ready for the baby. I thought for the longest time that I couldn't even have kids. Finally, when I was 27 I found out that I was pregnant. My husband and I don't have alot of money, but we make ends meet. I knew that it would be a stretch for us to support a child but there was NO way I was going to have an abortion. My husband wasn't too thrilled when he found out about my pregnancy but now that our beautiful little girl is here, he couldn't be happier. We both love her more than anything in this world. After carrying this little miracle for 9 months and feeling her kick and move in my belly, I could never even think about having an abortion or even adopting her out.

Well I have very heated opinions on abortion. I think its wrong. You chose to have sex you know beforehand the consequences whether its pregnancy or an STD. Thats where you made your choice not when you get pregnant. I think its wrong in every way possible. I hear of oh what if she was raped and Im like ya because the baby did it to you to. Or during complications of labor or during the pregnancy. USually in that example you INTENDED to keep the child so that I find unjustified. I am pro-life all the way and know of plenty brutal stories about abortion. I dont condemn anyone who has had one but I think the choice is wrong and then to have kids when you want and get abortions when you dont thats just wrong and disregard for human life. Ya we have free will and our choices and decisions to make. I just think you made your choice the second you decided to have sex.
And abortion makes you sick as a dog. Pregnancy does not the reason why your out of work longer when oyu have a baby is not just hte post partum thats only 6 weeks its because your taking care of a baby and providing for it whihc is 24/7 with a new born. Just my thoughts. Abortion is simply unnatural to me.

I just did a paper on teen pregnancy, but with abortions the mother will get really depressed and be in denial. Some mother's pretend that it is just fine and go on with life. Most mother's will also will go through a lot of physiological and physical complications or even death. But if you are on the "fence" about abortion go to google.com and type in abortion pictures and I grantee you wont be after you see the shocking photos. It made me cry. Since I am now 5 months.

I don't see how some can make that choice either. i know some who have regretted it terribly while others look at it as "easy birth control".
How do I decide to have an abortion?! I don't! I have 6 beautiful children to show for it all from the same father and we are planning on adding 2 more wonderful children to our growing family as well.
My sister had 2 abortions and I always wonder who she killed. I would have loved to have met those babies. Now she is almost 30, married no kids but with fertility problems.
