The chances of actually being killed in Iraq is very small, but yes it is nerve racking to know someone you love is in a danger zone. Don't let anyone and there negative comments get you down. Your brother did join on his own and he probably did very well in school, he is doing what he feels is right. Thank him for it. I had many friends and family in Iraq. I think most of them are home. Thankfully. He'll be home before you know it.

I don't have any family in Iraq, but I have some good friends there. Try not and worry about your brother. He is making his country proud. There have been Marine Corps Infantry troops that go over there and didn't even fire their weapon.

got a cousin who is on his third 12 month deployment. DH was there 2 years ago, and he will probably be going back within the next 2 years.
Driving yourself insane thinking the worst isn't going to do anyone any good.

My son is a Blackhawk pilot, he is on his second tour. I pray for his and all the others safe return and a speedy end to this.
Reining queen, I hope you never have to feel what it is like to have a loved one go to war. By the way, their fighting for freedom and your safety here. You have a cold heart, must be a Liberal.

It is scary. And just ignore the idiots who say "he chose it"
He is of a much better caliber person than someone who would offer no kind words to someone like you.

my papa is over there.
Yeah it gets scary sometimes, but remember they are fighting for a good cause. My father would gladly give his life for the cause and id let him.
