In a separate bowl stir together 3 tablespoons flour, 2/3 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon salt. Pour over pear slices and toss to coat evenly. Fill bottom crust and dot with 2 tablespoons butter before adding top crust.
Of course the possibilities are endless, let your imagination run wild until you find your new favorite pie.
