My friend Deborah runs a Web site about homeschooling and literature and she publishes anicdotes people send in about cute things their kids said related to knowledge and education. Do any of you who homeschool have cute stories like that you'd like to share? If you do I'll see if she will put them on her Web site so that all homeschoolers can see them. You can either post stories here or send them straight to her Web site at:

http://www.wordsonus.com/feedback/feedback.html (Select "Out of the Mouths of Babes -- that's what she calls the column)

I really appreciate it, she didn't ask me to but I want to help her site get fun material.

We were working on a science experiment about insects, my 3rd grader was labelling a diagram with the parts of the insects body.

He said, "my brain just hatched an idea."

After I stopped laughing, I asked him what his idea was.

He said, "let's go to the zoo tomorrow and I can see these guys in action."

We went to the zoo the next day.

Well, well, well, our favorite basher, (see dougie poo's answer above)
you know, I think people that hang out in forums with the express purpose of tearing others down, secretly like those people and admire all their hard work and dedication. i mean, why else would they spend so much time in a forum unless they had an interest? hmmmmmm???

Cute thing my homeschooler said? Well, she's in 9th grade, and when I told her the HS forum had a stalker and I read some of his responses to her, along with others he posted in other forums bashing others, she just rolled her eyes and said, "that's so retarded."
Isn't that cute?

I don't know if this is educational but my daughters are 17 months apart and go threw a lot of the same things. Both are cutting a molar. My older daughter, age 7, says that her tooth is coming out of its shell. While my youngest daughter, age 5, says that she has a thorn in the back of her teeth.

Yeah! My home schooled 1st grader spit in my face, wouldn't do his work and only wanted to sleep in and watch TV all day. So I gave up and sent him to the local public school. And now he is so polite, and gracious and well-mannered! I just love this story.
