The same as the goal of most religions, it is to control people. This is not neccessarily an "all-bad" thing, religions that teach an after-life & punishment for not following the rules give many people a little hope, and a reason to behave themselves and follow society's "norms". If there is no afterlife, there is no reason for the intellectually-challenged to behave, and many of them would simply become "criminals".

Without Christianity (or some other religion), we have to rely on people understanding that Game Theory proves we should all "treat others as we wish to be treated" since this has the most likely positive outcome for all. It is a great shame so many individuals, groups and even nations apparently can't comprehend this simple reality.

I think the "GOAL" of Christianity is to judge as many people as they can before thier time comes or before god strikes them down with a bolt of lightening.

I don't know what it is for but i do know that there is so many religions out there they we could go without this one. This is the Religion that put Bush in office. Come on that right there is reason enough not to believe in Christianity and know that it is not something that we need in America
