I don't think it's just a question of age- it's a question of maturity. There are 14-year-olds out there who are more mature than some 30-year-olds who can't handle the responsibility that comes with sex.
I suppose 17 is a decent age to lose one's virginity, though, if one is in such a hurry to do so.

At the age you are able to understand and deal with the potential consequences of having sex (pregnancy, diseases, social stigmas like your peers thinking of you as a slut) I think maturity levels vary between people too much to pin it down to a specific age, but I think waiting until you're at least 18 is a start.

It depends on how mature you are? Ready for a baby? Prepared for a disease? Know what is out there! Condoms do break and birth control is not 100%. Respect yourself because no one else will! Best of luck!!!

There is no appropriate age if you're too young, and unmarried...
Sex is being taken too casually these days,as if it's as innocent as getting a cheeseburger at McDonalds....It's not worth it...
Save yourself for the right one,who loves you,and yall be married....and when you're old enough..say,atleast 20....

Marriage age. That's the most respect you and your pardner will ever have for one another. Don't give it away to brag or because they "say" I LOVE YOU....LOL, what a game people play. Save it and be PROUD!!!! Then you can do the bragging! It's really something great to brag about....VIRGINITY!

I would say around 18. I know many people (including myself) who lost it younger and now they have a lot of sexual hang-ups. I think any younger than that your mind just doesn't know how to handle it.
