THERE ARE SUCH THINGS AS TEACUP CHIHUAHUAS AND OTHER BREEDS.
I wish people would educate themselves before they say something they know little about.

1. A teacup chihuahua weighs up to 4 lbs, the breed standard max weight is 6 lbs but it is not uncommon for some to weigh over that and be full chihuahua. The standard is just a preferred general rule not a definite!!!

2. A teacup puppy weighs about 1 to 1-1/2 oz when born and standard size puppies weigh around 2 to 3-1/2 oz when born generally and can weigh up to 5 oz depending on bloodlines, etc.

3. Chihuahua puppies at weaning weigh under a pound for teacups around 6 oz and average pups weigh around 12 oz.

4. Beware of breeders offering "very small toy/teacup dogs" if they don't know if the pups are toy size or teacup size then ask alot of questions.

5. A teacup puppy in any toy breed can be expensive, they are rarely if ever given away or sold cheap because they are unique and most people know that everyone wants the smallest one.
average chihuahua prices for a quality dog range from $150 to over $1000 for teacups if they are guarateed by the breeder to be a teacup usually AKC,CKC, etc breeders can offer this guaratee.

6. Read Chihuahua books available online and at pet stores, these boks are breed specific and a few are written by some of the best Chihuahua breeders iun the business and they offer a huge amount of information on the breed including TEACUP sized Chihuahuas

Teacups are fragile because they are small, easy to get caught underfoot and under furniture, easy to get seriously hurt or killed if dropped or fall from high place ( even a couch is a high place).
I personally have not had any high maintenance health problems with my two teacup chihuahuas because I keep them in a clothes basket whenever they sleep, or I could not constantly monitor their whereabouts. I use crates when I leave and cannot take them with me and keep their shots and vet checks up-to-date.

So more appropriately you should not only consider the cost of the dog but its upkeep as well and if you desire a teacup dog then do your research fully. :)

You are not going to find one period.

1) There is no such thing as a 'teacup' anything. Teacup is a term used to describe unusally small dogs.

2) Any breeder breeding animals to be 'teacups' are doing so to make money off of their novelty. These are BAD breeders.

3)These dogs have extensive (and expensive)health problems down the road...

A chihuahua should already be under 6 pounds, if that is too big for you, get a fish.

It'll be hard to find because there really is no such thing as a "teacup" Chihuahua or any other breed. They are all Chihuahua's period. It'll also be hard to find a Chihuahua that is healthy and well bred for that amount of money. You could check out rescues and shelters that will be your best bet.

I don't want to sound mean but if you are unwilling to pay $50 for a specialty breed like a teacup Chihuahua, maybe you are not financially prepared for a pet.

There's no such thing as teacup Chis. There are teacup Poodles but no other breed has this classification.

I don't think you'll find one, unless someone is giving it away. Even getting a dog at the pound is going to cost more than that. Unfortunately, owning a dog is lots and lots of money (food, toys, leash and collar, treats, etc).
