Christians, muslims, & jews have fought over this land for centures. All three groups claim that this particular land is their "promised land." A sacred place promised to them by God.

The area given to the Jews in 1948 did not have a Muslim majority. The Jews got land that was occupied by 60% Jews. When you include the areas given to the Palestinians, the total came out the 66% Muslim. However, the Jews did not control a Muslim majority. Hours later, Arab nations attacked Israel. A war started and Israel won. Having land a couple of miles thick would be undefendable later, so, because they beat the Arabs, got land from the Arabs. This land, after Israel's creation, had belonged to the Muslims. However, it seems fair that if Arab Muslims attack Israel and lose, that Israel get a buffer zone from members of the attackers.
However, this issue is about wanting to wipe out Israel, not protect the Palestinians. If it were about protection, more countries than just Jordan would have accepted Palestinian refugees.
Your reasoning about who originally owned the land is accurate. The land belonged completely to the Palestinians before the U.N. voted to give land to the Jews. (This presumes that the term "Palestinian" was used at the time, as the term was first used during the 20th century.)

well I think you should rephrase that question and say why the Palestinians or arabs think that jews stole the land from them. It's not just a Muslim thing, it is mostly a palestinian and arab point of view. The islamic portion of it comes from the fact that most Muslims do not think it is fair that Palestinians (who are mostly Muslim with a significant christian population) were kicked out of their lands and homes and those were given to the Jewish settlers. Also, Jerusalem is regarded very highly in Islam like it is in Judaism and Christianiy. However, if we talk about who the original owners of that land were they were the canaanites/philistines. God did promise the Jews the land but he also took it away from them due to idol worshipping. I would also like to point out that Israel is supported by zionists and not necessarily Jews. In fact there are some Jewish organizations that claim that the existence of Israel is not legitimate and anti-biblical. You can search for Rabbi Weiss on the internet and that can give you some insight into that.

Who knows? the Jews told the arabs not to leave when they were preparing to defend the land the first time, but the Syrians and others told them to come out as refugees because that would make the Jews look bad to the world. That is how the Palestinian refugee camps got started, the other arab countries are some of the wealthiest in the world but they will not help the Palestinians because they want the Jews to look like land grabbers, and heartless soliders. The Arab countries have more land and money than most European countries, but they do not help their brothers because they hate the Jews more than they love their brothers. The Jews have a tiny little slip of land, and all they want is peace. Peace to work, have families, raise their families,God gave them much more, and they will own it. No matter what the arab community thinks or says.

The Jews took the land from the Arabs and America took the land from the Native Americans. I don't see liberals in the USA moving back to Europe because Americans stole the land from the native americans.

To be blunt, the Jewish people have been trying to hold on to the land God promised them since biblical days. As for the Muslims thinking it is their land, I saw once on TV that some hundreds of years ago a notable man drew up a map that put some of the Jewish land as Muslim land; other than that I do not know.

The word is 'pretext.'
In fact the Muslims did conquer and forcibly convert people when they invaded the region in the 6th century.
Oyvey223,
Well put.
Isra_and,
You need to stop the Taqiyya. We have seen on this site many Muslims who lie. Why don't you spend your energy protesting the terrorist instead of telling us their propaganda?
reverenceofme,
You are beyond the Taqiyya into the realm of paranoid delusion. I can't accuse you of lying as your post is so weird you probably can not tell the difference between what is real and what is perverted myth. Do you keep your suicide belt in a closet or in a drawer?

In the most recent world history, the Jews forced massive amounts of Muslims out of their homes and off of their land. I don't agree with the US supporting Israel, had it been the other way around, with Arabs taking the (most recently held) land of the European Jews, then we would have bombed the Arabs by now and forcefully returned the land to the Jews. People seem to be so anti-Arab right now that anything is justifiable if it makes them out to be the bad guys. It isn't so much about who owned the land in the past, it's who rightfully owns it today, and that would be the Arabs.

Because they would rather have a bogeyman to blame for their own problems instead of accepting responsibility.
Palestinians are the same people which were called Philistines in 'that old book'.
The Philistines were a seafaring people descending from Phoenicians. Most of their towns in ancient times were located along the coast reflecting their FOREIGN seafaring history.
So it was originally they that stole the land from the Jews.
But sure I guess an antisemite could blame all those horrible holocaust survivors, and the victims of Russian pogroms and antisemitism if all you wish to do is hate the Jews.
Or they could be smart enough to realize both Jew and American are facing the same extreme minded enemy.

There you have it. All land used to belong to someone else at some point. All of it, on every corner of the world. If you live there now, I guarantee that your ancestors stole it from someone, even if it was only on the tribal level (New Guinea, Africa, etc).
Though on the other hand... what was done for Israel could be equated to Europe telling the U.S. that Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana are going to be given back to the Native Americans and anyone else living on it needs to get out. There's no pat answer.

Because Muslims are people and they are only 2 real truths in the cosmos. 1) People are stupid and 2)People are evil. now because of these 2 the land was passed around for thousands of years till the Palestine got it then when they lost it after stealing it from someone else they cried "Foul"
It all comes down to a blind spot in history that people, of any religion, race or creed, refuse to see or accept anything that makes them look bad....it was a shady move but then again so was everything else that had happened on that spot
