I has happened to me. I changed my diet, eating more fiber, fruits and veggies. Get things moving easily--so you don't have to push when you are on the potty. Mine went away after a couple of weeks.

Well, hemorrhoids are more common then you would ever imagin. If you have a lump and or a little blood, to be honest with you, yes you should consult your doctor, yes it is a very embarrassing situation but there is other complications that could arise, I work in the medical field with a doctor who treats plenty of young people with hemorrhoids not to mention they are very uncomfortable, but you want to ensure that this is really what they are and not something else, there is many other things that could cause symptoms like this. If it is hemorrhoids, Tucks pads and Preparation H are all good to use to help with discomfort

Assuming this is your first encounter with these troublesome little ailments, I recommend the purchase of "Preparation H" at your local drug store or grocery. Begin application of that cream immediately to the affected area as directed.

Swelling should go down in a few days. Bleeding should stop about the same time. The cream will also alleviate the pain and itching you must feel about now.

Prevention of the problem in the future may be achieved by eating lots of green salads, and roughage like grains with hulls found in bran cereals, and such.

Avoid cheeses, fatty foods, and fried foods as much as possible for a while.

You should ALWAYS tell your doctor. Hemmorrhoids are not always that big of a deal but they can be! They can cause anal fissures which can lead to infection which could lead to other serious diseases. Next thing you know you have half of your bowel removed and you're wearing a colostomy bag for the rest of your life. Save yourself the trouble (and money) and just tell your doctor now. I know it feels embarassing but they have seen a million other things that are much more disgusting than a little hemorrhoid.

Most of the time they will go away on their own in about a week. If it does cause some discomfort or itching, you can get medication and any pharmacy to help. If it becomes irritated or last longer than a week, I would recommend seeing a doctor.

Sure sounds like a hemorrhoid. They are simply distended veins, but can be quite painful. Get some Preparation H and see if it heals by itself. If not, then you should probably have it checked.

You don't have to RUN to your doctor. But the next time you visit you should tell him about it. It doesn't pay to keep things from the physician. He charts it and it all adds up like a puzzle when something is wrong with you later. Withholding symptoms just makes it harder for him to do his job.

No need to tell a Doc unless it's HUGE. Invest in some Prep H and watch where you sit and stay away from spicy foods for a few days. It's always worked for me.
