Why did he turn water into wine instead of giving us a cure for cancer? Wouldn't the latter have been more useful and a much better demonstraion of his power? Hell! Penn & Teller can turn water into wine... Criss Angel turned water into Beer! Some trick Jesus...

No kidding Criss Angel and P&T are Illusionists, do you really think i'm an idiot? If Jesus did any of these things they were illusions as well. I haven't found one claim of jesus' so called miracles that can't be replicated by a skilled magician today. It's one thing to actually raise someone from the dead. It's quite another to have people believe you did.

If you took a poll of the occupations and backgrounds of the guests at the wedding at Cana, what do you think you would find. Would you find, scientists, investigative reporters, college professors, police detectives, Nobel laureates, or a group of ignorant fishermen, farmers and day laborers burdened with the superstitions of two thousand years ago? Is it any wonder they were amazed? They probably would have been amazed if someone had done a card trick, if they had any cards.
By the way, if you read the story with your brain turned on, when did the good old water to wine incidence happen? It happened after all of the poor wine had been consumed, approximately 150 gallons or so. Bubba, that's a lot of wine. Who drank the poor wine? The GUESTS, do you suppose that now we have a group of superstitious, ignorant and drunk, fishermen, farmers and day laborers. Sound like very reliable witnesses to me. This is the type of garbage that people base their beliefs on.

I think you walk a very thin line on blasting Jesus that way. Some things will never be enough proof of the power of God. You know this as well as I do. If God cured Cancer, Yes that would be an awesome Miricle, But for many people it takes that life threatning of a Disease to wake them up Spiritally. To Actually surrender Control of there lives to Him and Him alone. Would we really turn to Jesus, if He cured all things? Blessed is He who has not Seen, yet Still Believes!

First of all, Penn & Teller are illusionists. They trick you into thinking the water turned to wine. They wold admit it themselves that it is a trick, not "magic".
Second, He changed the water into wine at the promting of His mother and out of sympathy for the groom whoese job it was to insure there was enough wine for the week long celibration. As for curing cancer, He cured death. That is a lot more fatal, don't you think? He healed numerous people, even raised a few from the dead, including Himself. No magic tricks there, the real deal, at least according to his detractors (and supporters, of course).

Did you actually taste that wine from Penn & Teller? Did you actually taste that beer from Criss Angel? Jesus did it to prove a point, that he IS who He says He is. Period. RME@ real magicians. Jesus wasn't a magician.

Because he was demonstrating that even though he was true God, he still obeyed the commandment of obeying his Father and his Mother.
It was upon the request of his Mother did he do this.
And Jesus did not come here to get rid of sin in this world. He came so that you may inherit eternal life after you die.
As well as provide comfort and hope while you suffer here on earth.

If Jesus was actually who the Christians claimed he was, cancer wouldn't exist in the first place! Jesus was nothing more than over-hyped magician if he even existed at all.
