you don't, it's too weird. what i mean is, I have been hit on before by gay men, men I knew to a certain degree. I never really looked at them the same, I knew they were gay, and I respected that, but it changed our friendship, i looked at them differently, didn't talk to them as much and avoided being alone with them, unlike before they hit on me.

Don't even try. You will probably get your nose broke and your teeth knocked out. If it is clear that he is not gay then trying to hit on him is very disrespectful and childish.

If he is not gay, then why bother. It will just make him uncomfortable to be around you if he is thinking that you are checking out his butt.
